In April 2022, We Love Budapest wrote a very profound article about programs and places of the Hungarian capital, that is related to Japanese culture. 

I designed very minimalistic illustrations to the article, which operate with simple forms. 

On the first spread, under the title & lead, a city map pinpoints the above-mentioned places worth visiting, while on the second spread the article gives a detailed description of each sight. 

Here, the illustrations fit into circle-form, which allude to the Japanese flag, the red Sun on white surface.

I searched for colour combinations which work best in simpe forms, and evoke 'Japanese mood' the most. Finally I chose four elements on the warm colour spectrum, from which I can "build up" my illustrations appropriately.
